(This page explains how we have organized camper travel in past years.
We are not sure yet how travel to camp will work in summer 2021
due to COVID precautions. We will know more in the spring & announce plans then.)
Travel to and from Encore/Coda takes place in three basic ways: by family car, by charted bus or van, and by plane to or from the Portland, Maine airport. Here are some more details on each mode of travel:
AUTOMOBILE—You are welcome to drive your camper to and from camp; click here for driving directions. Please note that we are unable to accommodate arrivals and departures outside of the listed times.
BUS or VAN—Chartered buses or vans are available from specific locations on certain dates. Camp staff members will supervise and there is plenty of room for luggage and musical instruments. Even so, it is much easier for everyone if you ship large trunks and duffels ahead of time. Charges are payable to the camp and will be added to your June bill. These fees are refundable should your plans change. Locations, dates and prices are as follows:

PLANE—flight arrangements should be made between your home city and Portland, Maine, which is the closest airport to camp. Specific air travel information can be found here. Camp staff members will supervise and there is plenty of room for luggage and musical instruments.
PLEASE NOTE: If your camper will be traveling by plane or is planning on taking our charter bus/van service, it is important that you fill out and submit the appropriate Air Travel Form or Bus/Van Travel Form, so that we can plan accordingly. If you will be traveling by automobile, you do not need to fill out the form.
You may ship luggage to us at camp anytime after June 1. You do not need to inform us in advance of these shipments and you may use any national carrier like Federal Express, UPS, or the United States Postal Service.
PLEASE NOTE: If your camper will be traveling by plane or is planning on taking our charter bus/van service, it is important that you fill out and submit the appropriate Air Travel Form or Bus/Van Travel Form, so that we can plan accordingly.
