I just want to thank you for possibly the most fantastic Summer I have ever had! Many of my friends went away to camps this summer and from comparing notes, yours is the best! I have never felt so happy and musically involved before! I just want to thank my fantastic teachers from chamber group, voice, musical theater, orchestra, (Rep. Thank you both and to your staff for giving Charlie a wonderful experience this summer. He enjoyed the program, the new friends, the music and sports program. I can see a net improvement in his music abilities, his confidence and his interest level in music I was pleased to have come to meet you and visit your beautiful location and facilities.

Also, thank you for the assessment sheets from each of Charlie's music teachers. This gives his local music teachers and I a perspective on his progress and work completed. Please sign up Charlie for first session next year! He wants to come back to join other friends who will be returning too. Let me know if you are coming to the Bay area - we would be pleased to host an information "party" if it's of interest.

Finally, a big thanks for sending the "left-behinds" - sandals and rain jacket. Very kind and thoughtful and proactive of you. Superb service!!

Thanks for another great summer for Erin! She loved being there the entire summer (although we missed her a lot!) and her viola and flute playing just keep getting better and better with your excellent music program. Equally important, she really enjoys the traditional camp activities and just being a kid away at camp. She can't wait to go back.

Although it's only September, we have to start planning our vacation schedule for next summer. Could you please e-mail us the session and parents' visiting day dates for 2004?

Hi Jamie,

Thank you for another great year of camp for Brendan. When I asked him to help fill out the evaluation, he claimed that he couldn't pick a favorite activity because there were too many. He could not come up with a least favorite activity either. My husband and I enjoyed parent's day very much. I was especially excited to see Brendan play with the senior orchestra. It was his first experience with a symphony orchestra. He found Beethoven's fifth very motivating.

I was very impressed with the three final evaluations we received. They were all very thorough and extremely accurate. All the evaluations included positive comments. The voice and violin evaluations included very appropriate criticism as well. It is important that students hear comments about the areas in which they need to improve…

We received Clare's summer evaluations. Thank you. It is easier for me to send comments by email rather than fill in the parent camper evaluation form, so I hope you don't mind my doing so.

Encore-Coda was without question the best camp experience Clare has ever had! She loved absolutely everything about her time there. She wishes to be signed up for session one next year as soon as it is possible to do so. The mix of music, sports and recreation was just right. Particular musical highlights for her were her chamber music group and her private lessons with Richard. She also was delighted with her cabin. She hopes that she will be able to be with as many as possible of the same girls again next year.
Thank you for providing such a wonderful camp experience for our daughter!

Dear Jamie and Ellen,

At summer's end, I want to take a moment to thank you for providing one of the most inspiring experiences of our daughter's life. I remember saying, "Thank you" to you at the opening of Parents' Weekend, but I didn't know at that moment what my gratitude would, by the end of the weekend, include: joyful students, incredible music making, deep friendships, and soulful living. ( And those glazed blueberry doughnuts weren't bad either!) Only hyperbole would cover how very much Flannery wants to return to Camp Encore-Coda next year. And, as she says, "For the Full!"

Thanks, too, for your consideration in enrolling Flannery; our newness to your program became evident when we met other parents whose children have attended Encore-Coda for 3, 4, 6, 9 years!

Please consider Flannery one of your most devoted campers. We would love for her to return next summer, and we'll do our best to enroll early this year. Flannery will return to the American School of The Hague enriched by her musical, meaningful weeks at Camp.

Before we get caught up again in our busy lives, I just wanted to thank you again for making camp such a wonderful environment and one that will yield many happy memories for Steve. The musical performances on Parent's Day rang with the hard work and dedication of your teaching staff and of its ability to stimulate the campers' enthusiasm for diverse musical genres. The physical surroundings and your caring oversight enveloped it all in a kind of 'time warp' that made me wish I had had such an experience growing up.

Dear Jamie, Ellen, Hannah!

It seems almost unreal to think that this summer is gone. It almost feels like years since those good times in Maine. Yet it has just been barely a month. Thank you so much for camp, Saltmans. Thank you for the opportunity that you gave us all in camp this summer. I really can't thank you enough for how much I learned and enjoyed my job. Even if I was working, I felt much like a camper, because part of this experience is to share with others, as we did at camp with everyone.

Things have finally normalized here in Michigan. Classes + Work + Practice! I am getting increasingly back into a routine. Many things to do, yet all of them very exciting. I hope the end of camp and summer was a smooth process and that things back in Boston are nice and pleasant.

Dear Ellen & Jamie,

I was cleaning a closet the other day and found these camp shirts. (Apparently I hadn't cleaned that closet for at least 10 years!) I thought perhaps someone at camp could use them. I will always be so grateful to you and all the wonderful people at Camp Encore/Coda for the incredible musical foundation you gave to Mary. She graduated a year ago with a degree in music from Wesleyan University. She is now living in Brooklyn, NY and playing lots of jazz. She couldn't be happier. The bohemian life seems to suite her well.
