String Orchestra is for beginning to early intermediate string players. The goals of the string orchestra are for the students to improve their reading, have a solid ensemble experience and to perform on a weekly basis on the camper concerts. The repertoire for this group is drawn from arrangements of famous pieces and pieces written specifically for the level of the group.

 

Repertory Orchestra is for intermediate to advanced intermediate string players who need to develop their sight reading abilities and are comfortable playing out of first position. The goals are to expose the campers to both original literature for string orchestra and arrangements.

 

Senior Orchestra is for advanced string, wind, brass and percussion players. It is a full orchestra which performs original works for orchestra.

 

Chamber Orchestra is a group comprised of staff and campers in the conservatory program, playing works written for chamber orchestra. Other campers are invited to be members of this group if they are excellent sight readers and can play at a an advanced level.
