2010 APRIL PARENT BULLETIN Updated: 4/8/10

Dear Parents,
We all want a smooth, enjoyable and educational camp experience for your child this summer and our experience has been that this is best fostered by good information sharing in advance. The information posted here on our website is intended to provide a structure for that process and we hope that you will find it clear, helpful, and reasonable. Please see the following items, all now posted on the ‘Parents Info’ page:
Camp T shirt and uniform order from Maine Street Graphics – we require all the campers to have a couple of Gray camp T shirts for use on trip days and some performances in camp. The other items from Maine Street Graphics are optional. CITs do not need to order a shirt as they will be provided one by the camp. This order form should be sent directly to Maine St. Graphics.
Email Instructions – Bunk1.com will translate your camper’s faxes directly into your email ‘in box’ and send your emails back to them through a centralized daily transmission to our office. This is an optional, fee based service and the insert explains all the details. We continue to offer traditional faxing at no charge.
Medical Forms (Health history and Healthcare recommendations) - Even with our daily commitment to ‘safety first’ procedures, minor accidents and illnesses invariably do occur. Because we have the responsibility of being `in loco parentis' for all campers, we must be able to provide prompt and adequate medical treatment, which requires that completed and signed medical forms be on hand for each youngster. Please make an appointment for your child to have a physical exam within the next several weeks, so that these forms can be returned to us well in advance of our opening day. Be sure to sign the parent's authorization for medical treatment. This is extremely important! The camp doctor and local hospital require a signed parent's authorization to provide treatment.
Name Stamper – this is a great way to quickly label your child’s clothes, so that if we find them during or after the summer, we can return them. If you would like to purchase a stamp, complete this form and send it directly to Common Sense Products
Self-Administered Medication Information - If your child self medicates (as with an EPI pen), you need to download the permission forms, sign them and have your doctor sign them as well.
Summer Preparation Checklist –We offer this checklist to help you organize your camp preparation and be sure that everything is ready.
As always, we are happy to respond to your questions by phone or email and we look forward to seeing your talented children soon at camp!
Sincerely,
JAMIE & ELLEN
