Welcome to Parents' Days 2012!!

We take this opportunity to invite you to our annual parent's visiting days. You are welcome to visit the camp at anytime, but the days mentioned here are the 'official' visiting days.

First Session: Saturday, July 21
Second Session:
Saturday, August 11

Both of these days are for the entire camp, and we look forward to seeing everyone! The schedule for these days is a complex rotation of campers and parents from one performance space to another, with a break for lunch. Although the midday times are subject to change at this point, the basic outline of the day is as follows:

9:30 AM Coffee and donuts reception at the main office

10:00 AM Concerts and workshops begin

11:30 AM
Buffet picnic lunch begins at the dining hall, continues until 2 PM
Concerts and workshops continue through the day

3:00 PM
Lower Camp Theater performance in the concert hall

4:30 PM
Upper Camp Theater performance in the concert hall

Campers may leave camp for dinner in town with parents whenever their performances are finished

9:00 PM
All campers are requested to be back in camp for packing and final dance
(end of session departures take place on Sunday morning – please see travel information packet for details)

Please make an effort to arrive on time, as your camper will be anxious to see you, and perform for you. If you are not planning to visit your child, he or she may leave camp with a friend's family, when the driver is over age 21, but only with your written permission. We advise you not to grant permission for your child to leave camp with anyone that you do not know well. To grant permission, please write to us, specifically naming the individual to whom you grant permission and acknowledging that the camp is not responsible for your child while in the care of the named family. We are not able to release any child on visiting day without such a note. Faxes are acceptable, but must bear your signature. Emails are not adequate because they cannot be signed.

Please DO NOT bring your pets with you into camp. Also, please DO NOT deliver food and soda to your camper on Parent’s day. All of this food needs to be removed from the bunks the same day, and it simply creates a big hassle for the kids and for us.

We maintain a strict NO SMOKING, NO ALCOHOL policy in camp during the summer for all campers and staff members, and ask all parents to abide by this rule during visiting day. Also, we would appreciate your NOT TIPPING any counselor. We feel that each child should be treated equally well, and tipping sometimes interferes with that.

We look forward to seeing you!
